- נָבוֹז m. (בזז) distributor (of royal largesses), chief. Cant. R. to VII, 7 (ref. to נבזביתך, Dan. 5:17) נ׳ ראשה naboz means chief (officer); ib. (read:) תמן הינון … נְבוֹז בִּזָּתָא (ed. נבוזבזתאך, some ed. נבוז בזאתך) there (in Rome) they name an eparch (a high officer) distributor of largesses (Comes Largitionum).
